Currently PVNC Catholic students at our elementary schools are on the traditional schools day. The day consists of:

• 300 instructional minutes

• 60-minute lunch period - includes both indoor and outdoor time (typically 20min eating /40 min outside)
• Two additional recess periods - varying lengths
• Instructional blocks of approximately 40-60 minutes

In an effort to better meet the needs of our students, PVNC Catholic is seeking feedback on a Balanced Day Schedule. A Balanced Day Schedule consists of:

• 300 instructional minutes

• Two longer nutrition/activity breaks that include both indoor and outdoor time. Breaks are between 40 and 45 minutes depending on the school
• Instructional blocks of approximately 100 to 120 minutes.
